Innocent Musominari, Head of Recovery
Innocent is the Head of Recovery Department; previously he was the Head of Corporate Credit Department from 2010 through 2017; and has worked with the Bank since 2004.
Innocent has extensive experience in credit analysis and management gained from having worked with the Rwandan Banking sector for over 23 years.
Prior to joining the Bank; Innocent worked at Banque Commerciale du Rwanda (BCR) which is now I&M Bank for 5 years as Corporate Credit Analyst.
He has been instrumental in managing the Bank’s credit risk as well as the consistent growth in Bank’s loan portfolio. Hence, this has contributed in bringing major improvements in asset management and quality.
Innocent holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the National University of Rwanda.
Charles GAKURU, Head of Treasury
Charles is the Head of Treasury at Bank of Kigali Plc, ACI Certified, he is responsible for the Bank’s assets and liabilities management, liquidity, funding and foreign exchange transactions.
Charles has 18 Years banking experience mainly in Treasury and Branch operations. Prior joining Bank of Kigali, he worked with I&M Bank Rwanda and KCB Bank Rwanda LTD in different Treasury positions.
He holds an MBA in Finance & Accounting from Mount Kenya University and a Bachelor in Management from Université Libre de Kigali.
Jacqueline NKWIHOREZE, Head of Internal Audit
Jacqueline is the Head of Internal Audit department at Bank of Kigali Plc. She joined the Bank in July 2018. Prior to joining the Bank, she worked at BDF (Business Development Fund) as Head of Finance department for over 7 years where she was in charge of financial accounting and reporting, financial analysis, Taxation, Budget preparation and control and systems implementation.
At BDF also, she was the chairperson of the Credit committee and on the committees of both IT and Portfolio. She also previously worked with KPMG and then KPS Associates both audit and consultancy firms as senior auditor doing financial audits and reporting and consultancy work for 7 years.
At Bank of Kigali Plc, my main role is to help the bank accomplish its objectives by bringing a systematic, disciplined approach to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of risk management, Control, and Governance processes.
Jacqueline holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree specializing in Accounting from university of Science, Technology and Management (KIST). She is a Certified Chartered Accountant and a member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Rwanda (ICPAR). She has undergone a series of training especially in leadership.
Jacqueline serves as a Board member of Rwandair, Rwanda Revenue Authority, and Crystal Ventures Ltd(CVL). She is the chairperson of Board Audit and Risk committee of Rwandair and Board Audit committee of CVL.

Mami Fatou Said, Head of Human Resources
Mami has more than fifteen years of experience in Human Resources. She started her HR career in the energy sector (Electrogaz) in 2005.
She started with the banking sector in 2007 where she worked with Access Bank Rwanda SA for 4 years as Country Human Resources Manager.
Her areas of expertise are change management, company reorganization and structure definition, performance management, skills audit, compensation and benefit, talent management and manpower planning, policies and procedures definition and alignment.
Mami went back in the Banking sector in 2014 when she joined Guaranty Trust Bank (Rwanda) Plc as a Country Head of Human Resources; she had to drive the change management journey and played a strategic role during the Bank’s integration process. In April 2017, she joined Bank of Kigali where she is working as Head of Human Resources.
Mami holds a Bachelor degree in Sociology from Independent University of Kigali and an MBA from Oklahoma Christian University. She has undergone different leadership and management courses that strengthened her with mentorship and coaching capabilities and has recently received a Certification in Coaching from Kora Coaching Leadership Academy.
Aimable Malaala, Head of Compliance
Aimable Malaala is the Head of Compliance, Litigations. His main duty is to ensure that the Bank complies with National laws and Regulations and international best practices in Banking. As the Head of litigations department he manages all litigations for and against the bank and liaises with all Judicial and Para-Judicial institutions in matters concerning the law.
He brings vast experience to the Bank in the areas of Commercial Litigation and Arbitration, Insolvency Administration and Receivership, Energy and Corporate Finance. Prior to joining Bank of Kigali, he was a Principal State Attorney and Head of Civil Litigation Department at the Ministry of Justice/Office of the Attorney General where represented the Government of Rwanda in different cases at national, regional and international courts and also advised the Government of Rwanda on numerous projects in Energy, Infrastructure and Finance. He was part of the team of legal experts negotiating Political federation of the East African Community.
He served for 8 years as a member of Government Commission in charge of settling disputes against the Government out of court. Aimable holds a Bachelor of Laws degree (LLB) from the National University of Rwanda 2005, a Master of Laws (LLM) in International Human Rights from Utrecht University (The Netherlands) 2007, Master of Laws (LLM) International Business Law from University of Liverpool (United Kingdom) 2011, a Post Graduate Diploma in international environmental Law (UNITAR) and holds a diploma Legal practice from Institute of Legal Practice and Development.
Aimable is certified Anti- Money Laundering specialist (CAMS) He is a member of the Rwanda Bar Association & the East African Law Society, a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb) and a qualified Adjudicator under Kuala Lumpur Regional Centre for Arbitration.
Jean Luc, Head of Information Security
Jean Luc is the Head of Information Security since January 2020. He has a wealth of experience in IT infrastructure as well as Information Security.
Prior to joining this current position, he was the IT Security Manager at Bank of Kigali Plc, IDC Network Manager at Africa Olleh Services and Head of Network and System at the University of Rwanda.
Jean Luc holds a Master’s degree in Computer Sciences from University of Rwanda and a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology from the National University of Rwanda. He also has several professional certificates in IT, cyber security and information security.
Fabrice Bugingo, Fabrice is the Head of Operations
Fabrice is the Head of Operations. He has a wealth of experience and career spanning over 16 years in the banking sector with an intellectual background.
In the last 3 years, Fabrice was leading the negotiations on high-value or strategic categories and identification and realization of cost-saving and cost-reduction opportunities for the bank.

Audrey Kazera is the Head of the Marketing
Audrey Kazera is the Head of the Marketing Department at Bank of Kigali Plc. She is passionate about marketing and building brands that put customers at the center of everything they do. Her areas of expertise include Advertising, Communications & PR, Brand Management, Marketing Research and Events Management.
Prior to joining Bank of Kigali, Audrey was the Senior Manager Promotions & Customer Loyalty at RwandAir where she headed the airline’s Marketing Section. She also served as Head, Consumer and Market Understanding at TIGO Rwanda where she led all marketing research activities and contributed to the development of the company’s marketing strategy.
Audrey holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Applied Mathematics from the National University of Rwanda and a Master of Business Administration from Oklahoma Christian University.
Serge MUKIZA, Head of Risk Department
Serge MUKIZA is the Head of Risk Department at Bank of Kigali Plc.
He is responsible for the development and implementation of a risk management strategy to respond to risk factors in a proactive manner in support of the bank’s growth strategy.
He has a vast banking knowledge with 12 years of experience, including 9 years in Enterprise Risk Management. Prior to joining Bank of Kigali, as a Risk Manager, he was the Financial Risk Manager at KCB Bank (Rwanda). He also worked for Access Bank (Rwanda) in different positions in Operations, Business and Credit Risk Management.
Serge is pursuing an MBA in Finance from Oklahoma Christian University and holds a Bachelor’s degree of Business Administration specializing in Accounting from Adventist University of Central Africa (AUCA). He is also a certified Lead Risk Manager, certified ISMS Lead implementer and certified BCMS Lead Implementer.
During his career, He has undergone a series of professional development trainings at renowned institutions such as PECB, the Institute of Risk Management (IRM), Compuscan academy, CRESTCOM International, Fleming Gulf FZE, Intellisys business solutions, School of Excellence banking, etc.
Arlette Munezero, Head of Information Technology
Arlette Munezero Wiclef is Bank of Kigali’s Head of Information Technology. She has over 13 years of experience in Information Technology of which 6 in IT leadership roles.
She has a record of accomplishment in Strategy and IT Operations Management, Project Management, Systems Deployment and Policy Development.
Prior to joining Bank of Kigali Plc, Ms. Arlette was the Deputy Commissioner for Information Technology and Information Systems of Rwanda Revenue Authority (RRA) and she has played a key role in its digital transformation journey. She has occupied several positions in the same institution including Head of IT Strategy and Risk Management and served as a Senior Systems Administrator. She has also 2 years’ experience in academia.
Arlette holds a Master’s Degree in Information Technology from the University of Madras/ India.
Zachary Matu, Head of Core systems
Mr. Zachary Matu was appointed to the Bank of Kigali's Head of Core Applications position in February 2022.
He is responsible for the Bank's Core Applications and Digital Channels support. He offers expertise in systems design and development, systems implementation strategy, and project management.
He has over ten years of working experience in senior technical and leadership roles in the Payments and Finance industries. He joined the bank in December 2019 and previously served as our Head of Engineering and Integration Engineering Lead at the Digital Factory.
He holds a Master of Science degree in Mobile Telecommunications and Innovation from Strathmore University, Nairobi.
His studies at Strathmore comprised of an Advanced Innovation and Entrepreneurship Program at the prestigious iLab Africa (http://www.ilabafrica.ac.ke/), where he received his degree from the program in 2018.
He also holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Artificial Intelligence and Machine learning from the McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas at Austin.
Noella M. Mupole, Deputy Program Director of Aheza Transformation Program
Noella M. Mupole Joined Bank of Kigali in January 2020 leading the ERP project implementation under the Aheza Transformation Program. She is now the Deputy Program Director of Aheza Transformation Program.
Noella has a strong experience in worldwide known ERP systems (SAP, ORACLE and IFS) with extensive project management and business applications implementation skills as well as consultancy capabilities in different industries, both public and private. She implemented ERP in different industries ranging from Food and Beverage, Manufacturing Company, Security Company, Construction Companies, Pharmaceutical industries, Petroleum industries, NGO’s and Insurance companies.
Noella previously worked at Rwanda Energy group as the Head of ICT in EUCL and covering the Group Holding. She was also the group IT Director in one of the biggest investment company in Rwanda: Crystal Ventures Limited. Noella also served as an independent board member in COPEDU PLC prior to joining Bank of Kigali.
She holds a BCOM Honors degree in Informatics from the University of Pretoria and a bachelor’s degree in information management from the Adventist University of Central Africa.

Darius Mukunzi, Head SME
Darius is the current Head, SME department. Darius is passionate about coaching and training people. Darius’s hobbies include traveling, socializing with friends and yoga.
Darius holds a Bachelors of Business Administration Management and Marketing from Stratford University (New Delhi).

Yves KAYIHURA, Head of Retail Banking
Yves Kayihura joins Bank of Kigali PIc as a Head of Retail Banking – Retail Banking Department. He has 15 years of working experience in Banking Sector and has gained expertise in Retail Banking, Bank Operations, Customer Experience and Treasury.
Yves holds a Bachelor's Degree in Administration from Kigali Independent University.
Yves has worked with other financial institutions where he has contributed in Hospitalization, Customer Service and Retention by Good Quality Products & Services Assurance and Sales Boosting.
Yves is a Certified Expert in Microfinancing from Frankfurt School of Finance & Management, with an ongoing African, Future Leaders Program from Egyptian Banking Institute. China Fauzia, Head of Credit Risk
China Fauzia is currently the Head of Credit Risk at Bank of Kigali Plc. Before taking up the new role, she was a Relationship Manager in Corporate Banking unit.
Fauzia has also worked as Head of SMEs and Value chain for Guaranty Trust Bank Rwanda Plc and Ecobank Rwanda Plc. She has also worked in Access Bank Rwanda Plc for various positions ranging from Bank operations and Business Banking. She has over 12 years’ experience in the Banking industry.

Desire Mupenzi, Head of Credit Administration
Desire Mupenzi is currently the Head of Credit Administration at Bank of Kigali Plc. Before taking up the new role, he was a Senior Credit Administration Manager in Credit Risk Department.
Desire has been in the financial industry for the past 7 years, having started with GTBank Rwanda where he held various positions up to Head of Credit Risk then NCBA Bank Rwanda, as Credit Manager.

Francine Umulisa , Head of Customer Experience
Francine Umulisa is currently the Head of Customer Experience taking charge of the customer experience at Bank of Kigali
She was later the Head of Culture Transformation taking charge of the Culture portfolio at BK and the process to design initiatives aimed at transforming and sustaining the Bank’s ‘targeted culture.
Francine has extended Banking experience of more than 13 years and has been with the Bank of Kigali since March 2020. Her areas of expertise range from Customer Experience, Total Quality Management, Corporate Communications, Marketing and operations.
She holds a Masters’ Degree in International Business Management, From Oklahoma Christian University, a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from the (former) School Finance and Banking in Kigali, a certification in Leading Successful Change by INSEAD School of Business and the school of Excellence in professional banking.
Positions held range from customer Experience Manager, Culture Project Manager and Culture Senior Manager. Her interests range from Strategy, Project Management and the future of work.
Raoul NDAYAMBAJE , Head of Payments
Raoul NDAYAMBAJE is the Head of Payments, overseeing the growth and sustainability of the bank's payment products and services. His primary responsibility is to coordinate business segments, operations, and technology to deliver efficient payables and receivables management solutions that enhance customer convenience, increase efficiency, and drive deposits for the Bank.
With an extensive background in banking, Mr. Raoul brings over 11 years of expertise in various areas, including Transaction Banking, Operations, IT, Corporate, and Digital Banking. He has gained valuable experience working with local and regional banking institutions.
Raoul holds a Bachelor's Degree in Information Management from the Adventist University of Central Africa. He has also received training and certification as a Practitioner of Trade Finance and Cash Management from EUROMONEY.
Odette KAYITESI, Head of Internal Control
Odette is the Head of Internal Control Since September 2021. She has 28 years of experience in banking industry.
Prior to joining Bank of Kigali, Odette worked at Banque Commerciale du Rwanda (Current I&M Bank) for 6 years respectively as Operations, Credit and IT Manager in charge of core banking system monitoring.
Since joining Bank of Kigali as Business Development Manager in IT Department, she successively changed roles to Internal Control Manager then to the current Head of Internal Control in Risk Management Division.
Irrespective of the roles, Odette has been attached to many critical IT projects, mainly for her insight in bank operations processing, automation, data analysis, end user training and her capacity in federating the team around the core objective.
It was the case with Banque Commerciale du Rwanda for Core Banking System implementation (from bankos to Delta), and still is with Bank of Kigali where she contributed to the success of various Amplitude Version Upgrades (from Delta V6 to Amplitude V10), and the just completed T24 R20 Implementation where she was the Data Migration Lead.
She also provided business expertise and data analysis to internal and external developers in developing interfaces and reports.
She holds a bachelor's degree in Economics from Kigali Independent University and bachelor degree in Finance and accounting from Higher Institute of Commerce of Kinshasa DRC.
Alexis BIZIMANA, Head of Agribusiness
Since February 2023, BIZIMANA has been serving as the Head of the Agribusiness department within the Commercial Division.
Mr. Alexis is responsible for driving the growth and profitability of the Agribusiness department, aligning his efforts with the approved Agribusiness Strategy.
With over 13 years of expertise in Agricultural Finance, Mr. Alexis has worked with various public, private, and development institutions, gaining valuable experience in areas such as the Bank's Business, Sales Management, Leadership, and Client Relationship Management.
Mr. Alexis has been employed at the Bank since 2021, previously holding the position of Senior Manager - Agribusiness within the Commercial Division.
His educational background includes a Master's Degree in Economics from the University of Kigali and a Bachelor's Degree in Agricultural Economics from IBN Khaldun University (Algeria), specializing in Engineering. Additionally, he holds a certification as an Expert in Agriculture Finance from Frankfurt School (Germany).
Tharcissie BYUKUSENGE, Head of Central Back Office
Tharcissie BYUKUSENGE is a passionate banking professional currently serving as the Head of Central Back Office at Bank of Kigali Plc. Her journey in the financial industry began in 2008 at Access Bank, where she sharpened her skills in various operations roles. She briefly contributed her expertise as the E-Banking Manager at BPR before making a significant move to Bank of Kigali Plc in May 2018.
Her tenure at Bank of Kigali Plc has been marked by impressive career progression. Tharcissie initially assumed the role of Card Operation Manager and swiftly advanced to become the Card Center Manager in the Business Division in 2019. Her dedication and outstanding performance led to her promotion to the position of Head of Central Back Office in February 2022.
Tharcissie holds a Delta mu Delta Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a focus on International Business from Oklahoma Christian University. She also earned her Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from the School of Finance and Banking (SFB). Her commitment to continuous learning and professional development is evident through her participation in various training programs offered by renowned institutions such as the School of Excellence Banking, VISA, CRESTCOM International, and John C. Maxwell.

Felista Mubyeyi Kimanuka, the Company Secretary
Felista Mubyeyi Kimanuka joins Bank of Kigali Plc as the Company Secretary. She has over 10 years’ experience in legal advisory and corporate governance having worked in the private sector and international organizations.
She has gained knowledge and skills in leadership, strategic management, legal advisory, negotiation, problem-solving, compliance, dispute resolution, critical planning, communication and board management.
Ms. Felista Kimanuka holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Law from the University of Witwatersrand, South Africa, a Master’s in Law and Development from the University of Manchester in the UK, a Diploma in Sustainable Business and Responsible Leadership from the Swedish Institute and an ongoing Diploma in Legal Practice from ILDP.
Felista has worked in the Banking Sector at BPR Bank Rwanda Plc where she served as the Country Head of Legal & Company Secretary. In this position she was charged with developing, leading and monitoring a legal and governance strategy that mitigates risks while achieving the company’s revenue and business objectives.
Prior to this, she worked as the Company Secretary & Chief Legal Advisor of Rwandair Ltd for 5 years thus overseeing the Company’s overall legal compliance and adherence to corporate governance practices.
Ms Kimanuka also has experience working with the media and international development agencies like UNDP and International Finance Corporation.
Jacob Mpyisi, Head of Corporate Banking
Jacob brings a wealth of knowledge to the banking sector, with more than eight years of diverse experience. His expertise spans several key areas including SME Banking, Origination & Portfolio Management, and Corporate Banking
Jacob’s comprehensive skills have been honed through roles in both local and regional financial institutions. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce and Accounting, and is further enhancing his financial acumen by pursuing an Executive Masters in Financial Services at the Luxembourg School of Business
Complementing his academic qualifications, Jacob has successfully completed the Certified Professional Bankers course offered by the Rwanda Bankers Association and the RAF 2 program at the Rwanda Academy of Finance..
Mr. Gedeon Rukundo is the Head of Legal
Mr. Gedeon Rukundo is the Head of Legal function coordinating the contract drafting and legal review; providing legal advisory services to the business as well overseeing and managing litigation cases of the Bank. Mr. Gedeon has served the bank in various managerial positions including Ag. Head of Corporate Affairs & Company Secretary, Senior Legal Manager & Subsidiaries Corporate Counsel and HR Manager.
Mr. Gedeon has an experience of over 12 years in Banking. He holds a Master of Laws (LLM) specialized in Commercial Law with great acquaintance in Contract Law, Investment Law, Labour Law, International Trade Law, International Arbitration, International Economic Law, Banking Law, and Competition Law. He is currently pursuing a Diploma in Legal Practice (ILPD).
Prior to joining Bank of Kigali, Gedeon served as a Permanent Law Lecturer at the former National University of Rwanda from June 2007 to end September 2011 as well as a visiting Law Lecturer at the University of Kigali (ULK).
