BK Groups PLC has announced the appointment of Regis Rugemanshuro, PMP, SPC 4 as the Chief Digital Officer for Bank of Kigali PLC. Regis joins 6 other members of the company’s executive committee.

About the new appointee

Regis Rugemanshuro, PMP, SPC 4, Newly appointed Chief Digital Officer at the Bank of Kigali PLC, was the first Chief Executive Officer of BK TecHouse Ltd, the Tech subsidiary of BK Group PLC where his work in the past two years earned him the 2018 All Africa Business Leaders Award (AABLA) as Finalist for East Africa Innovator of the Year. Under his leadership, BK TecHouse was voted and awarded the 2017 Best Technology Company in Rwanda by the Smart Service Awards. Prior to joining BK Group Plc, Mr. Rugemanshuro spent his career in the United States consulting for the global Tech giants such as Hewlett Packard (HP) as a Program Manager and later with Accenture PLC in Seattle, Washington. During his time there, his main clients included Microsoft and T-Mobile.

His area of focus is at the intersection of Business and Technology; his expertise is in helping clients realize the promise of the digital revolution via adoption of modern engineering platforms and practices. He is known for his high energy and contagious passion to solving complex problems.

He is also a Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) by the Global Project Management Institute (PMI) as well as a Certified SAFE Program Consultant (SPC4) by the Global Scaled Agile Academy. He has a bachelor’s degree in science information technologies and an MBA in Management both from Misericordia University in Pennsylvania..

The group has also appointed Claude Munyangabo, to take charge of BK TecHouse from Regis as Managing Director.

Claude Munyangabo, takes charge of BK TecHouse from Regis as Managing Director. He previously worked as Manager of Business Development. Claude has accumulated 10 years of experience in the Telecommunication and Technology Business. Prior to joining BK TecHouse, Claude has worked in the Business Development Capacity with different Telecommunication and Technology companies including but not limited to KT Rwanda Network (KT RN) from 2014 to 2016, Broad Band System Corporation (BSC Ltd) from 2012 to 2014 and New Artel Ltd. from 2008 to 2012.

Claude MUNYANGABO holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Maastricht School of Management (MSM) and is a Certified Business Mediator from London International Dispute Resolution Center.

Sustained Growth

BK Group PLC recently announced a net profit of Rwf13.4 billion in the first six months of 2018. This is a 17.8 per cent growth from the same period last year. According to the Group CEO, Dr Diane Karusisi, the increase was enabled by Customers’ trust, solid growth on the entire group’s business lines as well as effective cost management.
